Friday Fix-up

Today we have Lauren over from Three Pink Dots... telling us what she would do with today's Friday Fix-up. This house we just put on the market today, and it wont last long.

Hi I've Gotta Guy Readers!
I'm honored to be here for today's Friday Fix-up.  This house is a good one - it's in great shape, nice bones, and with a little paint, fabric, it could be amazing! Priced at only $120,000 it's at a great level for someone to snatch up and put their style in it. The house is also in a great part of town, and the ones around it are priced nicely above this one.

Here's my take on the Friday Fix-up.
If you don't dig the vintage stained glass door... this is an easy replacement. I think it adds character though.
The kitchen - I would paint the cabinets first of all, a light color. They are sold though, the doors are heavy and you can tell they were made really well. Above the kitchen sink I would add Roman Shades that you could easily pull up or down for sunlight. This will add some color too.

The brick part of the kitchen is so neat. I would probably wear it down a little to show the color better.

Nice side bathroom...
You would not believe how much these cabinets could hold. Pretty much a whole coupon crazy lady stock pile.
In the kitchen nook, there is great space for a table.
Here you can update by adding cool plates on the wall, there's even a nice spot for them. You don't like plates on the wall? Simply remove this and hang art here.
Spacious living room, enough for several conversation areas, or even a dining table!
The wall is textured to look almost like a wood cork. It's pretty cool, if you don't like it... a simple wallpaper removal would take care of this. These windows are huge! Makes this room so bright. Add new draperies, floor to ceiling for added texture and warmth.
Love it or hate it. Add a crazy shower curtain and embrace it, or call Green Refinishing and they can paint this tile in no time.
Love these panels on the doors! You can't find stuff like this anymore.
Same with the cornice board. The detail work on there matches the doors...I dig it.

And a nice backyard to play in!
Thanks for having me Jake!
