Today marks the second day of the 10th Annual Tallgrass Film Festival. This four day long event features over 120 films from across the globe and takes place in several venues throughout the downtown Wichita area. It is the largest independent film festival in the state of Kansas. Way to go Wichita!

You'll want to clear your schedule for the coming film-filled days. Check out the complete schedule here. Or, if you're feeling like you need a little more information, you can download the grid.

You can learn more about the 10th Annual Tallgrass Film Fest by going to their website, liking them on Facebook, or following them on Twitter.

Be sure to purchase your pass and head to this awesome local event! If The Anchor sponsors it, then it must be awesome!

Over 10,000 people attended this festival in 2011. Were you one of them? Will you be there this year?

Shine Like Stars
Shine Like Stars members include Dale and Ashley Huntington, Seth Duncan, Doug Biggs and Joey Menninga

As you know, I'm all about supporting local. Local bands included. But supporting a local band whose only purpose is to glorify God? Now that's a local band I can get downright passionate about.

Meet Shine Like Stars. If you're a Wichita resident you may be familiar with their "fresh punk and emo" sounds from worship at City Life Church.
