Restaurant Hop: Part Two

After a relaxing and entertaining start to our appetizers at Sabor, we decided to try out the new Italian place in Uptown. LUCA, an Italian kitchen, formerly the Mediterranean restaurant Uptown Bistro, has now been renovated to surprise and delight Wichitans.

The wine list is extensive, and ranges from many light and full bodied wines. Ask your server, they could help you pick out the right one.

Seen above was the special of the night. Some really long name for grilled Sea Bass over buttery risotto. Other than being a little charred, it was really good. I give them this because it was a really busy night. The other item we ordered was the lamp-chops, or should I say lollipops. If you are a hungry boy, don't get this. It was good, but just teased the palette.

They are known for their homemade mozzarella and gnocchi, and I hear the pizzas and pastas are great. They also have outdoor seating. Something no one wants to try in 115 degree weather, but when fall hits, this will be fun. We would try it again, just more food for this kid next time.

After dinner we hopped over to Oeno Wine Bar for live music! With a boutique wine list, sangria and martinis, one is sure to find something to sip on. If you get hungry, check out the Flatbread and Cheese menu!

That's it for this restaurant hop. Where should we go next? Leave a comment and we will try it out!

I highly recommend the grilled cesear salad at Luca! Excellent, and large enough to share when ordered with a meal. Other than that it can't compare to Luciano's.
