Restaurant Review: Luciano's

A few weeks ago, my friends and I had a great night out to one of the most historic restaurants, Luciano's. A well-kept secret in the heart of downtown in Mulvane, Kansas, Luciano's is a restaurant with homemade Italian fare.

Cool story: The owner, Luciano, grew up in Italy and after following the love of his life, moved to the U.S.A. and settled in Mulvane, Kansas to open this restaurant. The sunflowers and wheat fields reminded him of his childhood in Tuscany.

Our friends, Kristen and Zac standing by the mini orange trees in the entry.

The kitchen was hustlin for a packed restaurant.

Lucianos is famous for a few great things.
1. The salad bowl. (see photo below) An edible parmesan crisp - it's amazing.
2. Their homemade lasagna. A family recipe that has been passed down for many years.
3. The Tiramisu. Ask early, this sells out on the weekends. We also had the White Chocolate Creme Brulee - it was amazing too.

Chef Luciano himself came out to greet the guests at the end of the night, which was a great surprise. Overall a great place to take your family or enjoy the night out. Reservations are requested, so make sure to call 316-777-0045. They also have a Facebook page, check it out to see when they have fresh made Gnocchi. Let me know what you think!
