Have you been by the new Bocconcini restaurant yet? I have, and it's awesome. Italian cuisine with a flair.
A great place to stop by for lunch or dinner. They have the traditional can't miss items but with a twist. Started out as a deli close to the hospital, which turned into an opportunity to open this restaurant. The Deli is still open and a great place to grab a quick bite.
I liked this a little too much.
This was the Fusilli Carbonara. Out of this word. With pancetta.... and homemade cream parmesan sauce...
This pasta is like ringlets, really fun to eat.
I also had the lamb chops served with eggplant caponata and balsamic reduction. What a good lookin plate?
Specials almost every day, and Chef is also preparing new items for tasting dinners.
The restaurant is filled with really cool local artwork.
And homemade desserts that are to die for...
I tried the Panna Cotta... not what you would think. This is not flan, I repeat... this is not like flan. It tasted more like whipped cheesecake with a glaze. Amazing I tell ya.
Who could forget the Tiramisu? They make it in-house with ladyfingers, mascarpone and expresso. This is a definite order, trust me.
A young local artist also made this for the opening... thought it was really neat.Overall, great restaurant you need to go try out. They have crazy awesome things on the menu that will not disappoint - like Swine Wrapped Shrimp and Frico.
You can't miss it, it's located at Bleckley & Central... across from the QT.
Have lunch, dinner and let me know what you think! Check out the menu and his website here.
